In House League Rules

C9 IHL League Rules:

• 1) Admins
• 1-1) Admins are individuals selected by the league and the head admin to ensure effective operation of the league and responsible conduct of players.
• 1-2) In the event that a player commits an infraction an admin will carry out the corresponding punishment according to the rules and regulations listed below.
• 1-3) In the event that an infraction exceeds the scope of the rules listed below a panel of admins will determine appropriate action.
• 1-4) Impersonating an admin is strictly prohibited. Any member of the league found to be impersonating an admin will immediately be issued two truant levels.

• 2) Players
• 2-1) Definition and rights
• 2-1a) Players are individuals competing in the league including. Captains are also considered players.
• 2-2b) For the duration of their participation in the league players will abide by the rules and regulations set forth below.
• 2-2c) Failure to comply with the rules set forth below will result in punishment according to the infraction.
• 2-2) Vouching
• 2-2a) Vouching requires a minimum of 1850 MMR on the account to be used in league play.
• 2-2b) If an applicant does not currently possess an 1850 account they can be vouched by 5 league players in good standing. If the player does not demonstrate adequate skill for the league and is has to be unvouched each of these 5 players will be issued one truant.

• 3) Captains
• 3-1) Admins can promote a player to captain provided that the player shows from high activity in the league and consistently demonstrates both responsible conduct and good manners.
• 3-2) Demotion from captain will occur if the captain displays repeated irresponsible behavior, disrespect toward members of the league, or other undesirable behavior. Demotion from captain will be reviewed and decided upon by a panel of admins.

• 4) Infractions
• 4-1) Written or verbal harassment
• 4-1a)Inflammatory statements directed at other players or admins are prohibited. Those that are deemed excessively inflammatory by the admins will be punished by an immediate truant.
• 4-1b) In the event of gross misconduct, the incident will be subject to review by a panel of admins. If the event is deemed gross, the admin panel reserves the right to issue additional truant levels.
• 4-1c)Players will limit their discussions of C9 admins, sponsors, property, and it's affiliates to objective discussion. Inflammatory statements (verbal or otherwise) about these entities will result in the issue of one or more truant levels as determined by a panel of admins.
• 4-1d) This rule applies to mIRC chat in addition to other media including but not limited to game chat, streams, stream chats, forum posts, etc.
• 4-2) Intentional throwing and griefing
• 4-2a)Intentionally throwing or griefing a game of any kind will result in the issue of a truant level.
• 4-2b) Intentionally throwing or griefing is defined as any action that intentionally causes a negative impact on the game for your team. This includes but is not limited to intentional feeding, griefing with abilities, AFKing, avoiding AFK detection, etc.
• 4-2c) Throwing/griefing is determined by reviewing a replay and the panel of admins will come to a final decision on whether throwing was involved or not.
• 4-3) Ghosting
• 4-3a) Ghosting in all forms is prohibited. Ghosting is defined as using any outside means to obtain information. This includes but is not limited to receiving information from observing parties via whisper, voice chat, or watching user streams, etc.
• 4-3b) Suspected ghosting can be reported by contacting support@cryonine.com. Submission of evidence of ghosting is encouraged.
• 4-3c) A panel of admins will review all ghosting claims. If the admin panel finds that ghosting has occurred 3 truant levels will be issued to all involved parties.

4-4) Accounts and vouches

4-4a). Players must play on the account they are vouched on in the mIRC channel.

4-4b. Players using accounts other than the one they are vouched for will receive one warning before penalties are enforced.

4-4c). If found using a non-vouched account after a warning the player will immediately be issued one truant level.

4-4d)Admins will change a players vouched account to a different 1850+ MMR account a maximum of once per circuit.

• 5) Lobby and game rules
• 5-1) Servers
• 5-1a) Server Preference is determined by the players. If a server cannot be agreed upon contact an admin for a final ruling.
• 5-1b) Admins reserve the right to draw a game as the admin sees fit if a server cannot be agreed upon.
• 5-2) Game names
• 5-2a) Games will be hosted with with a name including the game ID (ex: BD0141). An acceptable game name would be Lalond’s Fun House BD0141. 14a.Repeated failure to include game ID will result in the issue of a truant level.
• 5-2) Spectators
• 5-2a) The admins reserve the right to spectate any games to monitor for any inappropriate behavior.
• 5-2b) Removing a spectating admin from a C9-IHL game is prohibited. Doing so will result in the issue of a truant.
• 5-2c) Players may request a spectator slot using the IRC chat. Any player that requests a spectator slot via IRC will not be removed by the game host. Kicking a player from a lobby after they have requested spectator access in IRC will result in a truant for the offending player.
• 5-2d) Non IHL players are allowed to spectate games at the discretion of the game host. IHL players who have requested spectator access will be given priority over non IHL players. In the event that a server is full non IHL players will be kicked by the game host to allow for IHL players who have requested spectator access to enter the game.
• 5-3e) When spectating an IHL game spectators should refrain from using All Chat excessively. Repeated abuse of all chat by a spectator will result in the issue of a truant level.
• 5-4) Hero auto bans
• 5-4a) Solstice, Lodestone, and Bushwack are banned for the current circuit and banned heroes will be updated at the start of each circuit.
• 5-4b) Any hero released during a circuit is automatically banned from the circuit.
• 5-4c) If an auto banned hero is chosen, the picking stage will continue until completion with the intended hero chosen to be declared in chat. The game will then be remade as all pick and the intended heroes will be selected.
• 5-4d) A player that picks an auto banned hero accidentally or otherwise will receive one warning. Subsequent auto ban infractions will result in the issue of a truant to the offending player.
5-4e) Refusal to remake the game will result in the issue of a truant to the refusing player(s).
• 5-5) Disconnects
• 5-5a) In the event of an unintentional disconnect or time out, the game should be paused to allow for resolution of technical difficulties and reconnection.
• 5-5b) The game can be unpaused after the player has been offline for 5 minutes provided that the disconnected player has not contacted remaining players in the game or an admin.
• 5-5c) If contact is made and a player is actively attempting to reconnect an additional 5 minutes will be allowed for reconnection.
• 5-5d) In the event that a player disconnects and is unable to reconnect, the game will continue and the disconnected player will be immediately issued a truant level.
• 5-5e) Unpausing without allowing for adequate time for an attempted reconnect will result in the issue of one truant level to the player who committed the infraction.
• 5-6) Reporting Games
• 5-5a) All players will report the game result within 2 minutes of game closing. Players that repeatedly fail to report and that lead to a delay of game reporting will be issued one truant level.

• 6) Truant system:
• 6-1)Truant levels
• 6-1a) Truants levels are issued for infractions and result in successively more serious punishments.
• 1st Level - 3% ELO Loss
• 2nd Level - 5% ELO Loss
• 3rd Level - 24 Hour Ban
• 4th Level - 1 Week Ban
• 5th Level - 1 Month Ban
• 6th Level - Perma Ban/Removal from the league
• 6-1b) All truants are reset at the end of every 2 week season.
• 6-1c) Any bans in place via the truant system will persist even after truant reset.
• 6-2) User truant point system
• 6-2a) Before a game is submitted the league gives the right for players in the game to issue a truant point to a player who violated any of the rules listed above.
• 6-2b) Before the submission of a game result using command .truant Player will issue a truant point to the specified player. (Ex: .truant Swag)
• 6-2c) If a player is issued 7 truant points in one game a truant level will be automatically issued.
• 6-2d) Truant points are tracked for the admins to consult during any necessary review process.
• 6-3) Ban and truant appeals
• 6-3a) All Ban and truant appeals can be submitted to us via email at support@cryonine.com
• 6-3b) Bans or truants will be reviewed by a panel of admins. Notifications will be sent to the affected party a the review is completed.
• 7) Circuits and prizes
• 7-1)Circuits
• 7-1a) A circuit, or season, lasts 2 weeks. At the end of each two week circuit prizes are awarded and stats are reset, including truants. Any standing bans are not reset by the end of a circuit.
• 7-1b) Current circuit information, including end date and prizes, can be displayed by using the command .prizes .
• 7-2) C9 Showdown
• 7-2a) At the end of each 2 week season the top 10 players will be invited to participate in the C9 Showdown. The top two players will become captains and will draft 5 player teams from the top 10 players. These two teams will compete in a best of 3 series to the C9 Showdown victor..
• 7-2b) In the event that a player is unable to attend the C9 Showdown player #11 will take his spot. The player that was unable to attend will be moved into an 11-15 spot and receive prizes for that position.
• 7-3) Prizes
• 7-3a) The 5 winners of the C9 Showdown will each receive their choice of $50 or equal value in gold coins.
• 7-3b) The 5 losers of the C9 Showdown will each receive 1000 gold coins.
• 7-3c) All participants in the C9 Showdown will receive an exclusive in game symbol.
• 7-3d) Players ranked 11th through 15th will each receive 200 gold coins.
• 7-3e) Information regarding prizes for the current circuit is available using the .prizes command in IRC.
• 8) Common Sense
• 8-1) It is relatively easy to determine what is/isn't allowed in the league. C9 and the admins try to maintain a casual atmosphere in the league. Please don't do anything that hinders this environment or the performance of the league.
• 8-2) The C9 IHL provides you with a free service. Please avoid abuse at all costs.
• 9) Modification of rules
• 9-1) Rules may be changed or modified at any time by head admin. The date of the latest revision of rules is displayed below.

C9-HoN $250 + 6k Gold Coin Circuit

Cryo Nine Gaming in conjunction with S2 Games is proud to announce the launch of a $250 and 6k Gold Coin Circuit!

Format:

This is the second circuit for Heroes of Newrth and it will run from January 6th to January 20th. Through this timeframe users will be able to join our channel in irc #c9-hon and compete for ranking points. On the 20th the top two players will draft their team from the top 8 players and play off in a final Banning Draft.

Prize Distribution:

The winning team of the final showdown will recieve $250 in Cash! The losing team will each recieve 1,000 Gold coins and ranks 11-15 will recieve 200 Gold Coins. The top 10 players will also recieve an exclusive in game account icon!

C9-DL $500 Season 7

Cryo Nine Gaming is proud to announce not only the release of a new bot, but also a season worth $500 in cash prizes!

What C9-DL is:

C9-DL Is a Dota 2 league that allows for the individual player to have a shot at winning cash for Dota 2. It is an IRC based league that runs through quakenet and is located in the channel #c9-dl. The league has had 6 successful seasons and is looking to start the new year and the new season with a bang!

Format:

Season 7, which is from January 7th to February 7th, allows players to be able to sign up for games in IRC and play them out to win ranking points. At the end of the season the top two players will face off against each other in a final captains showdown where they will pick their team out from the other top 8 players in a Captains Mode type of draft for a final game. The winners of the final game will take home $500 in cash for the season!

How to join:

In order to enter the league we have some general requirements that determine whether or not a player gets vouched. If you are looking to get vouched you need support from a top tier player or a player who is currently in the league.

How to Enter the League

With the Cryo-Nine IHL starting we once again have an IRC based league and it has come to my attention that many of you are having trouble getting started with IRC so here's a guide that will hopefully help you out!

Step 1

Download mIRC

mIRC is an internet relay client systemthat has been used for gaming leagues for over a decade.

Step 2

Install mIRC

Install into a directory of your choosing.

Choose the full install type if it is not already selected. Finish your installation with your desired preferences for shortcuts.

Step 3

Set up mIRC

Click continue and you will be presented with a Window pictured below.

Fill in the Nickname and Alternate fields with your handle (ex: coLBeef and coLBeefier). The alternate will be applied if your primary is unavailable; these can be changed at any time.

Click on the servers tab on the left side of the settings box.

Select the Quakenet folder and choose the appropriate server.

After choosing the server click the select button.

If your name fields were cleared make sure to enter your names again, sometimes it bugs out. Click the connect button.

Step 4

Authorizing on Quakenet

If you have trouble connecting click the lightning bolt in the top left to disconnect and then click it again to try to connect again. Repeat until connected. Once connected close the �mIRC Favorites� box.

Type

/mode yourname +x

(replace yourname with your handle, ex: coLBeef). Setting this mode hides your IP from other users and is required for the vouching process.

Type

/msg Q HELLO youremail@address youremail@address

(replace youremail@address with the email you want your auth email sent to, ex: coLbeef@beefmail.com)

You will receive a confirmation that your email has been sent. Check the specified email for your Q account registration email.

Use the link in the email boxed in red to get your account password.

Type

/auth username password

(ex: /auth coLBeef beefrocks) to authorize your account

Once you have received confirmation you are logged in you can set your settings so that you will auto-authorize and join channels.

Navigate to Tools>Options

Click the Perform button on the right side of the options box.

Enable perform on connect by clicking on the box at the top left. Type into the perform commands box:

/mode Username +x
/auth Username Password
/join #c9-dl

Replace with your username and password and click OK. and Whenever you log in these commands will be auto performed so that you do not have to do it manually.

Click the lightning bolt to disconnect. Click the lightning bolt again to reconnect. Your mode will be set, you will be authorized and you will have joined the Cryo Nine IHL channel, #c9-dl.

Send a message to an admin by double clicking on their name. Currently admins are @Bart13t, @Dilatedmind, @KIA

New Rank: Trial Vouch

• Can only join matches that include a player that is ranked Voucher or higher.
• Cannot create games
• Cannot issue MVP or Truants

Commands: (Commands downwards to other ranks)

Trial Vouch:

• .s/.sign - Signs into a game. No game ID puts you in oldest queuing game.
• .o/.out - signs out of any game your current in.
• .lp - Shows users signed into any game in the queuing process.
• .r/.result - Submits results for a team.
• .info - shows info on a specific game.
• .top <#> - Number is optional. Displays the ranks 10 lower and upto the number inputted. Is no number Top 10.
• .games - Displays all games and their status (Queuing, Drafting, In Progress)
• .lastgame - Displays the last game completed.
• .stats - User optional. Displays the stats of a specified player. If no player inputted displays your own.
• .prizes - Displays the seasons prize if set.
• .champions - Displays winners from previous seasons.
• .playerhist - User Optional. Displays Players last 5 games
• .teams - Shows teams of all games in progress.
• .whoami - Displays account information for your self.
• .whois - Displays account information on someone else.
• .bot <#> - Displays the players that are bottom of the league

Vouched:

• .sg/.startgame - Creates a game.
• .cs/.confirmstart - Starts a game when sign in is 10 players.
• .truant - Only submit-able before game is resulted. You can issue a truant to a player who does not play to league standards. With 7 truants from the SAME game a penalty is automatically inflicted.
• .mvp - Only submit-able before game is resulted. You can give a player an MVP point if you feel they deserved MVP status.
• .aoe - Only one AOE every 10 minutes. Alerts channel that a game is open and waiting for sign ups.
• .abort - Aborts a game you own.

Leader:

• .cl - Challenged a leader or higher to a game. Unlimited sign in's and captains pick their team in a 1-2-2-2-1 format.
• .reject - If the challenged does not want to play they can reject the game. game is aborted.
• .ready - When both sides feel there are enough players in the pool they can start the draft by typing .ready
• .pick - Picks a player from the pool.

Voucher:

• .vouch - Vouches a plaayer into league.
• .tvouch - creates a player who is on a trail vouch.
• .promote - Promotes up one rank until 1 rank lower them them self

Trial Admin:

• .forceabort - Aborts a game specified. key work 'all' can be used to abort all games.
• .swap - Swaps a player in a queue.
• .kick - Kicks a player from the queue

Admin:

• .reward - Gives a player ELO points.
• .penalize - Takes ELO points away from a player
• .name - Changes the display name for a player
• .qauth - Changed the Quakenet Auth name for a player
• .unvouch - Unvouch player from league.
• .ban - Bans a player for X hours.
• .unban - Unbans a player.
• .demote - Demotes a user.
• .admintruant - Inflicrts a Truant penalty on a player.
• .settopic - Changes the topic of the room.
• .setprize - Changes the prize of the season.
